Featured GHG Verification & ESG Assurance Projects:
As a GSCC-approved certification body for the Global Steel Climate Council (GSCC) Steel Climate Standard, KERAMIDA verified Steel Dynamics’ base year Corporate Average Steel Emissions Intensity (CASEI) and validated its Science-Based Emissions Target (SBET), ensuring compliance with the Steel Climate Standard. As a result, Steel Dynamics became the first steel producer in the world to have its SBET officially approved by GSCC.
Arkansas Steel Associates, LLC, the leading producer of railroad tie plates in North America, is a member of the Global Steel Climate Council (GSCC), a coalition of steel producers and stakeholders driving the decarbonization of the global steel industry. In late 2024, Arkansas Steel Associates partnered with KERAMIDA, one of the world's first GSCC-approved certification bodies, to verify its base year (2023) Corporate Average Steel Emissions Intensity (CASEI) and product certification and validate its Science-Based Emissions Target (SBET).
KERAMIDA provides annual third-party GHG verification for Steel Dynamics. We have been supporting Steel Dynamics since 2023 by conducting independent third-party verification of its Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for calendar year 2022. The objective of the verification is to enhance the accuracy and reliability of Steel Dynamics’ GHG data prior to public disclosure through CDP and its annual sustainability report. KERAMIDA continues to work with Steel Dynamics annually to verify its GHG emissions.
KERAMIDA conducted third-party verification of Brunswick’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions and energy usage. The purpose of the verification was to enhance Brunswick’s CDP submittal and for stakeholder assurance that publicly released data is accurate. KERAMIDA also conducted GHG reduction modeling for various departments within Brunswick taking into account several GHG reduction initiatives. The model was based on KERAMIDA’s AI-Based Climate Model (ABC) to show sensitivity levers that impacted future GHG reductions and to aid in the setting of GHG reduction goals.
KERAMIDA provided Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions verification for a confidential technology company that designs & develops dedicated branded experiences that allow fans to buy, collect, and re-sell digital products and collectibles (NFTs). This blockchain-agnostic NFT platform is required to disclose its GHG emissions to complete transactions with media companies, and as such hired KERAMIDA to provide assurance through the verification of its GHG emissions.
KERAMIDA provided third-party GHG verification services for Bread Financial, a U.S. publicly-traded financial services company that offers personalized payment, lending, and saving solutions. KERAMIDA was tasked with conducting Bread Financial’s first-ever GHG verification. The scope of work included their Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions in addition to 8 of the 15 Scope 3 categories as defined by the GHG protocol.
KERAMIDA provided third-party verification services for the third-largest owner and operator of shopping centers in the United States with over $9 billion in assets. KERAMIDA provided limited assurance greenhouse gas (GHG) verification of the Client’s 2022 Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions inventory. KERAMIDA also verified energy usage, renewable energy usage, water, and waste using the Client’s data management software. Verification was conducted in accordance with ISO 14064-3 using an operational control approach. The verification statement was issued for both CDP and GRESB disclosure requirements.
