KERAMIDA provided third-party GHG verification services for a global producer, marketer, and distributor of fresh and fresh-cut fruits and vegetables with operations across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
KERAMIDA was tasked with verifying the company’s reported Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG emissions, in alignment with the GHG Protocol. The engagement involved conducting inquiries with sustainability and operational personnel to understand the Client’s GHG inventory management processes and to develop an appropriate verification and sampling plan. Based on this plan, KERAMIDA requested and reviewed activity data, supporting documentation, and calculation methodologies used to quantify emissions.
Throughout the engagement, KERAMIDA maintained regular communication with the Client to discuss progress and clarify data questions. Any identified discrepancies or potential material issues were communicated to the Client for resolution and subsequently reassessed by the verification team.
Upon completion of the verification procedures, KERAMIDA was able to provide an independent limited assurance opinion on the reported GHG emissions data.
