GHG Verification & Assurance for Fortune 500 Department Store Chain
Project Details:
KERAMIDA provided third-party GHG verification services for a multi-billion-dollar Fortune 500 leading American department store retail chain operating a network of department stores across the United States.
KERAMIDA conducted an independent verification of the retailer’s Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG emissions in alignment with the GHG Protocol. The verification process included detailed data requests, interviews with subject matter experts, and document reviews to assess data accuracy and completeness, calculation methodologies, and the emission factors used in the company’s GHG inventory.
Throughout the engagement, KERAMIDA worked closely with the retailers’ subject matter experts through regular meetings to ensure data transparency, timely communication, and resolution of any identified material issues. Upon completion of the review, KERAMIDA issued a positive, limited assurance opinion confirming the accuracy and completeness of the company’s reported GHG emissions.
