Our team ensures your emissions data meets the rigorous standards of California SB 253 – accurately tracked, reported, and verified.
CA SB 253 Compliance Solutions
California’s Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253) requires large organizations doing business in California, with over $1 billion in annual revenue, to publicly disclose their Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions starting in 2026, based on 2025 data. Disclosure of Scope 3 GHG emissions will be required starting in 2027. The law also mandates third-party assurance for Scope 1 and 2 emissions starting in 2026, with assurance for Scope 3 required starting in 2027.
Reports must follow the GHG Protocol, and the reported data must also be made publicly accessible to meet transparency requirements. If your company is subject to SB 253, now is the time to start preparing to ensure timely and effective compliance.

Featured Project Experience:
KERAMIDA provided third-party GHG verification services for Bread Financial, a U.S. publicly-traded financial services company that offers personalized payment, lending, and saving solutions. KERAMIDA was tasked with conducting Bread Financial’s first-ever GHG verification. The scope of work included their Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions in addition to 8 of the 15 Scope 3 categories as defined by the GHG protocol.
KERAMIDA conducted third-party verification of Brunswick’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions and energy usage. The purpose of the verification was to enhance Brunswick’s CDP submittal and for stakeholder assurance that publicly released data is accurate. KERAMIDA also conducted GHG reduction modeling for various departments within Brunswick taking into account several GHG reduction initiatives. The model was based on KERAMIDA’s AI-Based Climate Model (ABC) to show sensitivity levers that impacted future GHG reductions and to aid in the setting of GHG reduction goals.
