KERAMIDA's Nick McCreary Featured in Environmental Business Journal

Nick McCreary Featured in Environmental Business Journal and EBI Sustainability Leaders Webinar

KERAMIDA is proud to share that Nick McCreary, Senior Vice President, Sustainability, was featured in Environmental Business Journal, Volume 39, Numbers 1/2: Q1 2026, “The Sustainability Industry in 2026,” and participated as a panelist in Environmental Business International’s recent Sustainability Consulting & Engineering Leaders Webinar.

The article explores how the sustainability consulting market is evolving amid regulatory shifts and changing ESG expectations. In his interview, Nick discussed how supply chain sustainability has matured in recent years, with larger, publicly traded companies strengthening supplier engagement in order to improve the quality of emissions data and drive value chain decarbonization. However, urgency still varies by geography, industry, and regulatory exposure.

Nick noted that regulatory pressure continues to drive action, especially outside the United States, but policy uncertainty in the U.S., including ongoing legal challenges surrounding California’s SB 261 and SB 253, has led some companies to take a more measured approach to expanded disclosures.

He also emphasized that sustainability is shifting away from a compliance-only mindset toward a focus on business strategy (i.e., how integrating sustainability can improve efficiency, resilience, and growth). Making that leap requires more technical expertise to translate strategy into actionable steps, scalable systems, and measurable results.

We appreciate Environmental Business Journal and Environmental Business International for highlighting the evolving sustainability landscape and the role of consulting and engineering leaders in shaping what comes next.
