KERAMIDA Supports the City's Roadmap to a More Sustainable Future
KERAMIDA is proud to have supported the City of Annapolis, Maryland, in developing its newly released 2026 Climate Action Plan, a comprehensive, data-driven strategy to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and advance long-term sustainability.
The plan establishes a target of reducing local GHG emissions by 57% by 2045, compared to a 2024 baseline, and identifies 20 prioritized initiatives designed to reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency, strengthen infrastructure, and enhance community well-being.
Developed using local data on energy, transportation, waste, and land use, the plan incorporates community input and focuses on practical, achievable solutions. Key strategies include infrastructure improvements, updated municipal policies, community assistance programs, and partnerships that support Annapolis's climate goals while aligning with Maryland's Climate Solutions Now Act.
To measure progress and guide implementation, the City will utilize ClearPath 2.0, an online climate planning platform that enables staff to track emissions reductions, foster community participation, evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives, and adjust strategies as needed.
The release of the 2026 Climate Action Plan marks an important milestone in Annapolis's commitment to stewardship and sustainability.
KERAMIDA is honored to have contributed to this effort and congratulates the City of Annapolis on taking this important step toward a lower-carbon future.
