Safe + Sound Week

KERAMIDA is proud to once again be participating in OSHA’s Safe + Sound Week. Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America's workers safe.

Why Participate?

Successful safety and health programs can proactively identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness, improving sustainability and the bottom line. Participating in Safe + Sound Week provides a chance to recognize our safety successes.

Who Participates?

All organizations looking for an opportunity to recognize their commitment to safety are welcome to participate. Last year, more than 3,300 businesses helped to raise awareness about workers' health and safety!

How KERAMIDA will Participate:

KERAMIDA enrolled in this OSHA program and will display the Safe + Sound signage outside our Indianapolis office as well as in the dashboard or windows of our company trucks.

KERAMIDA’s Safety Committee is encouraging our employees to Find and Fix Hazards. Diana Ludwig, Project Manager in KERAMIDA’s Health & Safety Division, will collect information from employees describing any hazards they found and what they did to correct them. She will then collate all of these responses and report them internally and on the Safe + Sound web site.

In addition, our employees are encouraged to fill in one of the statements “Safety Matters Because…” and ”Safety Means…” as well as insert a photo in the frame titled “Why It’s Important To Be Safe + Sound”. KERAMIDA will be making a collage to share.
