KERAMIDA Participating in OSHA National Safety Stand-Down

OSHA National Safety Stand-Down To Prevent Falls in Construction

September 14-18, 2020 is the 7th annual National Safety Fall Stand-Down to bring awareness to Fall Hazards. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that in 2018 fewer workers died from falls than in 2017 – 320 of the 1,008 construction fatalities and 615 of the 5,250 fatalities in all industries. This represents a nearly 14% reduction in fall fatalities. However, despite efforts to prevent them, falls once again remain the leading cause of death and these deaths are preventable.

KERAMIDA will participate in the Safety Stand-Down this year by viewing the Spot-the-Hazard and reviewing the Near Misses that have been reported the past few years in order to create an increased awareness for those potential safety concerns.
