IBJ Highlights KERAMIDA’s Continued Innovation and Growth

KERAMIDA and its Founder, CEO, and Chief Technical Officer, Dr. Vicky Keramida, were recently featured in the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) as part of its 2026 Innovation Issue, which revisits select leaders recognized in the publication’s 2015 “Innovators in Business” feature.

The article reflects on the progress and impact of these innovators over the past decade. Dr. Keramida and KERAMIDA were originally recognized for their forward-thinking approach to sustainability and environmental consulting, well before ESG and climate strategy became central to business operations.

Since then, KERAMIDA has continued to evolve, expanding its services and geographic reach while staying aligned with emerging industry needs. Today, the firm has grown to more than 160 professionals nationwide and has strengthened its capabilities across sustainability, engineering, and regulatory compliance.

A key area of recent growth has been in energy-related services, including power generation and transmission. What began as a strategic opportunity has quickly developed into a major business segment supporting infrastructure projects such as pipelines and power lines.

Featured excerpt from the Indianapolis Business Journal:

“About three years ago, she and her colleagues identified energy — power generation and transmission — as a potential growth area. They created an energy arm of their business, offering engineering, surveying, permitting, and oversight services on linear construction projects, like pipelines or power lines. In three years, the segment has expanded to more than 30 employees and has become a significant revenue driver.”

The article also highlights KERAMIDA’s continued national growth, with offices spanning from Sacramento, California, to New York City, while remaining headquartered in Indiana.

“We like to look at where the world is going,” Dr. Keramida said in the feature. “The winds change on industries.”

Dr. Keramida also emphasized the value of remaining rooted in the Midwest, noting that being located in the center of the country “brings a perspective to our strategic positioning for us and our strategic advising to our clients.”

This recognition underscores KERAMIDA’s long-standing commitment to innovation and its ability to help clients navigate complex environmental, sustainability, and regulatory challenges in a rapidly changing world.
