CBAM Regulatory Guidance & Emissions Calculation for Leading Global Distributor of Fasteners

KERAMIDA provided regulatory guidance and emissions calculation support to a merchant wholesaler of fasteners and electronic components, who was assisting a downstream customer with compliance under the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
Using supplier-provided data, company-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and the EU CBAM Communication Template, KERAMIDA estimated product-level emissions for precursor products associated with CBAM-regulated goods. These calculations captured emissions attributable to upstream materials and applicable direct and indirect emissions from defined production routes. Key assumptions and calculation methodologies were documented to support transparency and year-over-year replication. This work enabled the client to provide credible, CBAM-aligned emissions information to its EU-importing customer and establish a repeatable approach for future CBAM reporting needs.
