Client Alert: CDP Releases 2026 Questionnaires
/CDP has officially released its 2026 questionnaires and reporting guidance, marking the start of the new disclosure cycle. The latest updates introduce changes that reflect the evolving expectations around environmental transparency and risk management.
What’s New in 2026
This year’s questionnaires expand in both scope and depth:
New ocean disclosures have been introduced, signaling a broader focus on marine ecosystems and impacts.
Plastics reporting has been strengthened, with more detailed expectations around disclosure.
Forests' scoring now covers additional commodities, including cocoa, coffee, and rubber.
Adaptation and resilience topics have been expanded, requiring more comprehensive responses on how organizations are preparing for climate impacts. Minor changes will be made to CDP’s scoring methodologies for modified questions to incentivize organizations to disclose actions taken to improve adaptation and resilience.
SME reporting enhancements include new metrics for forests and water security, and an SME A score is introduced.
