Waste Audit and Waste Reduction Strategy for Wilson Sporting Goods

Wilson Sporting Goods Co. (Wilson), a leading sports equipment manufacturer headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, partnered with KERAMIDA to conduct waste audits at its owned U.S. facilities. The objective was to identify opportunities for waste reduction across material procurement, product manufacturing, and disposal processes.
KERAMIDA performed comprehensive waste characterization studies at each site, using direct observation and data collection to assess current practices. Based on these findings, we developed tailored waste management action plans for each location. These plans included realistic waste diversion and reduction targets, actionable recommendations to improve existing waste handling practices, and strategies to increase employee engagement in sustainability efforts.
The insights from this initial audit will guide Wilson in developing a long-term waste reduction strategy aligned with its broader corporate sustainability goals.
