Sustainability & Resiliency Roadmapping for City of Fort Wayne, Indiana
Project Details:
KERAMIDA undertook a comprehensive strategy to support Fort Wayne's climate action and resilience efforts through three main tasks:
KERAMIDA initially conducted a thorough literature review, examining local, regional, and state reports, as well as internal City operating procedures, to assess Fort Wayne's past and current climate initiatives and identify alignment opportunities for the Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) and the Hoosier Resilience Institute Readiness Assessment (HRI RA).
Secondly, our team implemented a stakeholder mapping and activation process, engaging municipal and community stakeholders to understand implementation feasibility and prioritize actions, ensuring alignment and collaboration across initiatives.
Finally, KERAMIDA’s strategic planning efforts culminated in developing detailed action roadmaps for CAAP actions, outlining steps, responsible parties, funding sources, and timelines. Stakeholders were actively involved in refining these roadmaps to ensure actionable and feasible implementation, fostering a collaborative approach to advancing Fort Wayne's climate resilience and sustainability goals.
