Air Permitting & Authority to Construct Support for California Advanced Materials Manufacturer

Project Details:

KERAMIDA conducted air permit applicability evaluations for new processes and equipment at a Northern California research and development facility operated by an advanced materials technology company developing sustainable materials and innovative packaging solutions.

Air Permit Applicability Evaluation

Under Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District requirements, we reviewed process descriptions, chemical inventories (including VOC and HAP content, vapor pressure, and expected throughput), process flow diagrams, and existing facility permits to develop emissions calculations for multiple new processes. These calculations determined whether each process qualified for a permit exemption with associated recordkeeping or required an Authority to Construct.

Authority to Construct Support

Where an Authority to Construct was required, we prepared the application package, including completed forms, supporting emissions calculations, process and equipment descriptions, and related documentation, while coordinating with the Client to address proprietary process information throughout the evaluation and application process.
