Director of Proposals & Offerings - Indianapolis, IN

KERAMIDA has created a new position of Director of Proposals & Offerings. The goals for the creation of the position and the duties of the position are:

  1. Responsible for the writing of proposals. While technical staff will provide the approach, strategy and cost for more significant proposals, the goal is for the Proposal Director to be responsible for the preparation of the entire proposal.

  2. Responsible for the preparation and organization of company Qualifications materials. Ensure all our items for qualifications are created and continuously updated, in order to expedite the creation of proposals and SOQs. The Qualifications materials will be prepared by the Proposal Director, with input from technical staff.

  3. Assure timely submission of all proposals and qualifications under strict time schedules.

The position of Director of Proposals & Offerings is a senior position and the individual who will be hired will:

  • Be stationed in Indianapolis, Indiana

  • Be part of the Senior KERAMIDA Management Team

  • Report to the CEO

  • Work closely with the Director of Communications, who will assure the quality of the written qualifications.

Environmental and Natural Resource Permitter - Multiple Positions

KERAMIDA Inc. is seeking motivated, qualified and skilled staff in wetlands, storm water and natural resource permitting associated with construction activity, in order to ensure construction projects run smoothly according to all applicable regulatory requirements. The ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, both orally and in writing is critical to succeed in this position. The desired candidate must have a high-level of experience and technical knowledge necessary to write permits and perform environmental inspections. In particular, the Environmental and Natural Resource Permitter will prepare permit and plan documents for a wide variety of construction projects, primarily associated with an electric and gas utility. Specifically, these will include stormwater construction permits, wetlands (401/404) permits, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), environmental construction plans and related documents.

Successful applicants must have a college degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Engineering or similar degree. Must have two (2) to five (5) years' experience in Environmental and Natural Resource permitting. Certification as a Licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control (CPESC) is a plus. Experience in utility construction generally and gas pipeline construction specifically is a plus.

KERAMIDA Inc. is seeking a motivated, qualified and skilled Environmental Professional with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of erosion, sediment and stormwater regulations to ensure all construction projects run smoothly, in compliance with all regulations, while meeting time and budget constraints as it relates to environmental obligations. The desired candidate must be knowledgeable on the environmental impact of poor erosion, sediment and stormwater management, as well as construction management and techniques. The prospective candidate will be an on-site professional who serves as a relationship builder; one who has exceptional verbal and written communication skills and works between permitting and construction teams to achieve affective and efficient project completion. The Environmental Compliance Specialist will provide constructability reviews of the project plans in order to identify any concerns that might arise from the planned activity of the project. In addition, the Environmental Compliance Specialist will manage Quality Assurance of inspections during the construction process, and schedule construction inspection teams.

Safety Project Coordinator - Indianapolis, IN

KERAMIDA Inc. is currently seeking a Safety Project Coordinator to join our Indianapolis, Indiana office. He/She will have the task of ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental and occupational safety regulatory requirements for project to which they are assigned. This role will assist in the ongoing tasks performed by the Industrial Hygiene division of KERAMIDA Inc.

Duties:

  • Identifies and enumerates occupational hazards to minimize incidents.

  • Ensures compliance with federal and state statutory requirements, company policies and practices with regards to safety standards.

  • Perform testing and observations of programs and operations for assigned facilities.

  • Compile testing and observational reports with recommended actions for external facility management.

  • Recommends and supports solutions to improve safety standards for clients.

  • Proactively identifies and resolves safety hazards.

  • Actively coaches and advises site personnel (including contractors) and line management on all safety related matters.

  • Conducts safety related training and ensures training is current and meets regulatory requirements.

  • Works with the other site safety advisors to support safety improvement efforts.

  • Completes internal/external EHS compliance/conformance reports and associated data analysis.

  • Identifies, tracks, and improves on key process metrics.

  • Develops and maintains safety procedures and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory Bachelor's Degree required in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences or Engineering/Science major required; OR a combination of education and related work experience.
