P2 Executive Committee Monthly Meeting

KERAMIDA’s Kristen Belcredi, Senior Vice President, Air & Engineering Services, will be attending the P2 Executive Committee Monthly Meeting on October 11th. Ms. Belcredi is a Executive Committee Member of the Partners for Pollution Prevention.

What does P2 stand for? P2 stands for Pollution Prevention which means “Source reduction” as defined under the federal Pollution Prevention Act of 1990, and other practices that reduce or eliminate the creation of pollutants through increased efficiency in the use of raw materials, energy, water, or protection of natural resources by conservation.

The Partners for Pollution Prevention (Partners) is a collective of Indiana's industries, businesses, nonprofits, and governmental entities with a shared passion for pollution prevention (P2). This group recognizes the dual advantages—both financial and environmental—that P2 projects can offer. Acting as a hub, the Partners create a space for Indiana businesses to connect, exchange P2 insights, brainstorm ideas, and engage in discussions about how P2 can seamlessly weave into IDEM's environmental policies and programs. For the Partners, pollution prevention is the intersection where the environment and the economy can find common ground.

As a member of the Indiana Partners for Pollution Prevention (Partners), KERAMIDA has pledged to:

  1. Ensure employees are aware of your company’s commitment to pollution prevention (P2) and understand their role in implementing P2 objectives and goals;

  2. Incorporate P2 planning in the development of new products, processes, and/or services;

  3. Establish a mechanism to monitor waste generation and identify realistic P2 goals;

  4. Establish a process to listen and respond to stakeholder concerns;

  5. Make available, at the request of your community, IDEM, and the Partners, information about your company’s waste reduction and pollution prevention efforts;

  6. Establish an outreach program for promoting and supporting P2 efforts in your community;

  7. Participate in two or more Partners quarterly meetings each year;

  8. Support the Partners Annual Pollution Prevention Conference and Trade Show; and
