Doug Fasick served as an energy expert and Chief Sustainability Officer for the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and has more than 40 years of experience in energy, water, and waste management across the public utility and private sectors. At Fort Wayne's City Utilities, he led the development of a Combined Heat and Power system at the wastewater treatment plant that uses methane from anaerobic digestion to generate 800 kW of the plant's 3,000 kW demand. He also planned a Resource Recovery facility to take in high-strength organic waste for increased methane production as part of the utility's Net Zero Energy Initiative. He negotiated design and construction projects ranging from $100,000 to $192 million, launched a Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) Cooperative with local food service establishments to reduce sanitary sewer overflows, and has testified before the Indiana State Legislature and the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
