KERAMIDA is pleased to announce the hiring of Giorgos Iliopoulos as Senior Manager of Sustainability Services, beginning in September 2019. Mr. Iliopoulos is joining KERAMIDA as an experienced Sustainability consultant and trainer of corporate executives. He is also President of the Union of Environmental Scientists of Greece.
Mr. Iliopoulos has special knowledge and experience in a wide range of CSR and Sustainability services, including strategy development for organizations, CSR/Sustainability Reporting, GRI-G4 Guidelines and GRI Standards, materiality assessment, training, carbon footprint and offsetting, stakeholder engagement, and Management Systems. Mr. Iliopoulos is a Certified Lead Auditor for Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).
Mr. Iliopoulos brings to KERAMIDA his extensive experience in Sustainability Reporting - having participated in or led the process of development of more than 52 CSR/Sustainability Reports for big multinational companies from various sectors and countries. He is a GRI-Certified Trainer with a background having worked directly for GRI’s Amsterdam headquarters as a Sustainability Reporting Expert.
Mr. Iliopoulos holds a BS in Environmental Science and an MSc in Environmental Policy & Management. In 2019, Mr. Iliopoulos successfully completed a one-year residency as a Visiting Scholar in the Fulbright – Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program at Cornell University. As a Humphrey Fellow, his graduate studies focused on Corporate Sustainability, Leadership Development and Strategic Management. At the end of his program he worked for the World Bank as a Consultant at the Urban Planning – Middle East Division.
