Dr. Chung expertise is in chemical and environmental engineering. His focus is on air quality compliance, greenhouse gas emissions, plant process analysis, air quality permitting, and energy efficiency projects for clients in various industries. Dr. Chung serves as KERAMIDA’s technical expert on all matters relating to air emissions, pollution control infrastructure and associated regulatory compliance. He has a diverse background with multiple chemistries, manufacturing platforms and associated air pollution control infrastructure. As a Senior Engineer with KERAMIDA, his primary responsibility is to oversee, manage and maintain clients’ compliance with State and Federal air regulations. His role requires strong technical ability, including interpretation of applicable regulations, computer modelling of air emissions, computer software implementation, the design, operation, and troubleshooting of pollution control equipment, as well as instrumentation and data collection infrastructure.

Dr. Chung is familiar with a variety of compliance and modeling software such as the EPA/CARB Electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT), CARB Compliance Instrument Tracking System (CITSS), CARB Hotspots Analysis Reporting Software (HARP), SCAQMD Annual Emissions Reporting Software (AER), EPA TRI-MEweb Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) submittal software, and Air Dispersion Modeling (AERMOD) software. In addition his software expertise, Dr. Chung’s position necessitates an attention to detail, the capability to manage multiple and competing priorities with the ability to influence, communicate and work effectively with a broad range of internal and external parties.

Dr. Chung has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, two M.S. degrees in both Chemical and Environmental Engineering and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles. He is a registered Professional Engineer and an accredited ARB Greenhouse Gas Lead Verifier.
