Indiana's New Draft Remediation Closure Guide: Risk-Based Options for Contaminated Sites

A draft of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management's (IDEM) long awaited Remediation Closure Guide (RCG) was released on May 2, 2011. The RCG will replace the Risk Integrated system of Closure Technical Resource Guidance Document. Attendees of this event heard both IDEM's and an Environmental Professional's perspectives on how the new RCG changes the landscape for the closure of contaminated properties. IDEM also discussed and answered questions about Institutional Controls and Environmental Restrictive Covenants.
